Surrounded by trees, gardens and with views of the Cotswolds, Stable Cottage has been recently refurbished to create a luxury self catering holiday cottage with all the modern home comforts you need for a relaxing holiday or a short break in the country. The cottage has:

The modern country-style kitchen is fully fitted and has an electric cooker and hob with extractor hood, fridge with freezer section, microwave and dishwasher. There a traditional walk-in larder cupboard and a good supply of glasses, china and cooking equipment. Washing up liquid, cloths, tea towels and dishwasher tablets are all provided.

The kitchen leads through to the dining room which is fully supplied with table cloths, napkins and candles - perfect for a romantic evening in. And if you'd prefer not to cook, some local restaurants and delicatessens provide ready cooked meals for re-heating - details at the cottage or contact us in advance.

The comfortable lounge is dual aspect with views across Stable Cottage Garden and the Old Manor shrubbery. A tradtional stove adds to the ambiance on colder Autumn and Winter evenings.

There's a TV , DVD and music system in the lounge together with a small DVD and CD library as well as a selection of books and games for use by guests during their stay. The cottage also has broadband WIFI service available - please let us know if you wish to use the service so that we can arrange the necessary security access.

The Green Room is a double room with a king size bed. It's a light airy room with dual aspects over the garden and views across the valley to the Cotswolds beyond.

It has its own TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilites so you don't have to go far for your morning tea!

The Gold Room is a twin bed room also dual aspect with views of the garden and the Old Manor Garden.

The light, fresh bathroom still retains the original victorian fireplace, but with full central heating throughout, the fire's no longer in use. The modern bathroom has tiled floor, high pressure shower, full size bath and razor point.

Hand towels and bathmats are provided in the bathroom and personal bath towels are supplied to each bedroom.

Outside, the large southwest facing patio is a lovely place to sit , eat alfresco, and watch the sun go down. Garden furniture and BBQ are provided. The patio is bordered with scented plants and herbs and leads into the large, mature woodland style garden, which is for the exclusive use of the cottage guests. There's also a sunken patio close to the cottage which is ideal for providing shade on a hot day or shelter from an evening breeze.

The garage at the cottage can be used by guests for the storage of bicycles, canoes etc.

On arrival, holiday cottage guests are treated to a collection of Old Manor Products including some of our home made preserves, our free range eggs, home grown fruit/veg and other local produce depending on the season. Additional Old Manor produce is normally available for guests to purchase, including free range lamb. If we're available during the day we're happy to roast any lamb joints you purchase from us in the aga, so you return from a wonderful day out to a great tasting, tender roast.

Our self catering cottage is a totally non-smoking building and we regret that we are unable to accept dogs or any other pets.

Unfortunately the cottage is unsuitable for young children under 10 years old. Please also be aware that there are level changes between the rooms on the ground floor.

Twyning has excellent road and motorway access from the M5, M50 and A38. The local train station has good links to London, the North and South West, and there's a National Express Coach Terminal in nearby Cheltenham. We're happy to make collection and drop-off arrangements for any guests travelling by public transport.
