Located on the western edge of the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire, Old Manor Holiday Cottages are ideally placed for visiting the many famous local gardens including Hidcote, Kiftsgate Court, Spetchley Park, and The Croome Park Estate. The local Yellow Books for the National Garden Scheme are full of gardens to visit from early Spring to Autumn. With a host of National Trust Properties nearby and two annual RHS Malvern Flower Shows, there's always plenty to do. The holiday cottages are in the grounds of the Old Manor with its double walled garden, mature specimen trees and an old apple and perry orchard.
Both cottages are available for shortbreaks, weekend breaks and self catering holidays all year round. We also offer flexible start and finish dates when available.

There's a varied mix of great local gardens to visit in Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, Hereford & Worcester. Lydney Park to the south has a stunning display of rhododendrons and magnolia, there's the flamboyant rococo garden at Painswick and Spetchley Park is a true plantsman's garden. The only dutch water garden in the country can be found at Westbury-on-Severn (National Trust), providing year round structure and interest. The RHS Regional Centre at Pershore College is also nearby with landscaped grounds, the Alpine Society Gardens, an excellent library and plant centre. Pershore also offers a regular programme of talks and events (see the RHS "The Garden" events booklet) . Copies of the National Garden Scheme Yellow Books are on the bookshelves in the holiday cottages together with details of local gardens to visit and National Trust gardens. As keen gardeners and garden explorers we're happy to provide more information and recommend the best seasonal gardens to visit.

RHS Malvern Spring Gardening Show & RHS Malvern Autumn Show |

The RHS Malvern Spring Show and RHS Autumn Show are always popular events. The Malvern Spring Gardening Show has plenty of stunning show gardens, beautiful flower marquees with exhibits, displays and plants for sale plus a vast array of gardening stalls selling everything from seeds to secateurs. The Malvern Autumn Show is a showcase for produce from all across the UK. There are giant vegetables, fruit, vegetable, flower and plant competition entries, amazing flower arrangements, displays of apple varieties and plenty of shopping opportunities. The Three Counties Agricultural Show in June is also a pleasure with sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, poultry and rare breeds all well represented.

There are plenty of varied National Trust Properties and historic sites of interest in the area around Old Manor Holiday Cottages - from the House and Grounds of Croome Park and Hidcote to the Roman Villa at Chedworth. A short walk from the nearby village of Winchombe are Belas Knap the neolithic long barrow and Hailes Abbey - the ruins of a 13th Century Cistercian abbey. In Tewkesbury itself there's the 12th Century Tewkesbury Abbey and famous medieval streets and alleys. National Trust information and details of local places of in interest are in the information folders in each cottage.
